At one time there was a schoolhouse located next to the meeting. As
you face the meeting from the road, it was on the left.
Family members buried in the cemetery right next to the meeting house, with inscriptions from their tombstones:
Born 10th mo 6th 1817
Died 12th mo 13th 1890
Julianna Berry (maiden name Job)
Born 8th mo 4th 1824
Died 12th mo 18th 1895
Rachel R. Berry
Laura Berry Clark
Horace Berry Clark
Mabel A. Clark
Florence R. Clark
Note: This is the cemetery where the Quaker Josiah Fox, the Naval Architect who designed and built the USS Constitution and other Revolutionary War era ships is buried. Fox was ostracized by the Quakers for his role. His retirement estate, still occupied and now known as "Quaker Acres." is located just Southwest of Colerain. It was purchased by my Great Grandfather Theodore Clark circa 1865 and sold by the family in 2000.
